Web Shared Photos Dot Com
About This Site  Sponsored by David Collins and David Michael Portraits

This is my solution to the never ending problem of how to share family photos. You know the photos that you want to share with family, but not with the whole world like everybody seems to be doing on Facebook or other social media sites. These are the snapshots that maybe you were in, at a family event or holiday. Everybody asks where are the photos that I take at family events and holidays, and I must confess I am the worst at getting them up anywhere for family to see. I've tried not to clutter my business site with personal photos so they just get lost on hard drives sitting in my office. This is not just my site and my photos. It's your site also, as I am only the administrator of the site and pay to keep the Domain Name alive . The only criteria for setting up an account is that you have to be family and invited by a family member somewhere. I might not know exactly who you are in some cases, as you could be a sister to brother-in-law that I have only heard about. That's why there is a Biography area in your profile where you can explain who you are and how you are related and even who invited you to join this site.

To Get Started
The Internet is open to all kinds of people looking at random sites, therefore I have made the process of creating an account as safe as I can to keep others out. Again, you must be invited to join. When you click on "Register" at the center of the screen it opens up the registration form. Please fill out everything and let me know who you are in the Biography section. I will be notified of your request. With a click of a button I will send you the authorization key. You only have to do this once. Once you have access, you can create your own galleries or view other family member galleries.

Resizing of your photographs
Photo resizing will save you lots of time and space which in turn give you more hard drive space to add more of your favorites. If you need a easy to use program that will resize the dimensions and physical size click here to download. If you set the output settings to be 800 px on the long side and a quality setting of 70 the pictures usually will be perfect for viewing on the internet. If you need detailed instructions please e-mail me below.

Just a Side Note: WSP went green! I purchased the domain name westernstatesphotography.com and the short version wsp.us.com many years ago. I really didn't want to give up this short little name, that is so quick to type, so decided to recycle it to a new meaning of Web Shared Photos. While Western States Photography slowly fades away, and David Michael Portraits takes its place, I'm happy to have come up with something for the photographer in all of us. Hope you enjoy.
